SmarterTracks West and Central Toronto

Aug. 3, 2016

This is Phase I of my SmarterTracks plan for rapid transit in the West and Central areas of Toronto – This plan is based on the city's latest plans and proposals which have not been finalized as of this time [the map excludes most of Scarborough (you can find my plans and proposals for Scarborough at www.SmarterTracks.com)] - Phase I of my plan for the West and Central areas of the city adds to following to the city's plan:
- An LRT connection between the Crosstown East LRT at Toronto Pearson Airport and the Finch West LRT at Humber College
- A Driverless Shuttlebus connecting the two added LRT stops with Woodbine Centre and the Woodbine Racetrack
- A much more aggressive timeline
- NOTE: The Driverless Shuttlebus should be built by private industry

Hi All – Attached is a map that I will be using as a base for my SmarterTracks plan for rapid transit in the GTA [this map excludes most of my plans for Scarborough (you can find my plans and proposals for Scarborough at www.SmarterTracks.com)] – This map shows all existing rapid transit, rapid transit under construction, and includes the latest proposals by the city for transit up to 2031 – I will use this as Phase I for my plan for rapid transit in the west and central portions of the city – My plan excludes SmartTrack for Scarborough which is unnecessary if the city builds a three or four-stop extension of the Bloor-Danforth Line (Line 2) to Sheppard Avenue in Scarborough
